Panicos and Nitsa Fantousis, owners of ITALCATENA, welcome you to the site of their jewellery shop. ITALCATENA and Fantousis family share a history of half a century in the jewellery business, located in Larnaca city of Cyprus.In 1957, Andreas Fantousis (Panicos’ father), started a small jewellery workshop in Larnaca. The unique handcrafted and high quality materials as well as the beautiful designs were soon appreciated and loved by everyone. In 1978, Panicos Fantousis at the age of 14, realised he had the same interest and passion as his father and without any hesitation he joined as an apprentice, at his father’s jewellery workshop. As a result, Panicos spent the next four years working in the afternoons after school as an apprentice learning the craftsmanship of handmade jewellery. In 1983, Panicos Fantousis after completing his army service in Cyprus, he travelled to Italy where he spent 4 years of study at SISMA s.p.a. Chain Making and train as an apprentice next to the most famous Jewellers of the 80’s. Panicos was given the opportunity to learn not only the goldsmith’s art but also the skills of valuation and design of gemstones.In 1987, Panicos Fantousis returned to Cyprus and with his father’s support managed to transform the workshop into a small industry by the name “A. FANTOUSIS & SONS LTD” which traded and supplied the Cypriot Jewellery shops all over with high quality, unique handmade designed jewellery. In 2002, Panicos and Nitsa Fantousis, established “ITALCATENA Imports & Exports Ltd”. When Cyprus joined the EU Panicos and Nitsa were given the opportunity to work and trade with the wholesale industry of jewellery.In 2004, ITALCATENA was established as a retail shop located in Phaneromenis Avenue in Larnaca where it still specialises in high quality jewellery, as well as gemstones such as Diamonds, Sapphires, Rubbies, Emeralds, South Sea Pearls and semiprecious stones. ITALCATENA offers handcrafted design jewellery with high quality and unique designs, as well as imported jewellery from abroad after a thoroughly examination and valuation by Panicos and Nitsa. With many years of studying, working experience and attendance at the biggest jewellery shows and seminars around the world, the owners of ITALCATENA have and will continue to keep up with the latest trends and designs of high quality and craftsmanship jewellery.
