knc history 1977 | The company was founded by the owner Kypros Charalambous. The aim of the company was to offer electrical installations under the name of Kypros H. Charalambous Electrical Installations. The success of the company was based on quality installation and meeting customer requirements. 1982 | Following the success of electrical installations a fresh new addition was introduced under the new company name of KNC Sound & Light. This company was responsible for new designs to include sound as well as lighting. The main audience was commercial night clubs, pubs, bars and similar entertainment venues. Most of the projects were installed in the tourist area of Ayia Napa, Limassol, Larnaca, Paphos as well as Nicosia. 2000 | The market had now grown further with the need for control and automation. It was at this time that the company was awarded exclusive distributors of Dynalite Control Systems (Australia) 2001 | To mark this turning point in history the company was renamed to KNC Advanced Lighting Systems. The audience was primarily residential and commercial. To meet the growing demand for a broader service offering the company introduced new products for light fittings to complement the main product of KNC the Dynalite Control System. 2003
