Polis Xinaris Furniture Ltd started its activities 50 years ago in a small shop in Nicosia, firstly as a manufacturing company that used to supply other companies with furniture. That small shop wasn’t big enough for the vision of the founder mr. Polis Xinaris. Under the unfavourable condition at the early of 60s, Polis Xinaris Ltd became the first company to import in Cyprus the automation in the field of furniture, with an initial investment of more than 100,000 CYP- an astronomical amount for those days. At the same time, without any help from anyone, he builds a bigger factory in Kokkinotrimithia so that he could accommodate the increasing needs of the company. At that period also starts cooperating with Ducal Company exporting furniture in England. That cooperation lasted for more than 35 years. Polis Xinaris Furniture Ltd evolved into one of the biggest exporting companies in Cyprus and its furniture were displayed in shops such as John Luis and Harrods and the name of the company became synonym with quality, earning national recognition. At the beginning of the 90s and while in the company, a new generation has entered, Polis Xinaris Ltd opens the first shop in Elia Papakyriakou street in Engomi and supplies to the market, pine furniture in Cyprus
